Greetings members!

As most of you are aware, the upcoming Hunting & Fishing Kaikoura Pro-Am event is scheduled for the weekend of Oct 8 & 9, 2022.

In line with this event we have decided to incorporate the annual ‘NZ Club Professional Championship’ and therefore encourage all club professionals to enter this outstanding event.

Most of you will also be aware that we recently sent a 4-man team off to play in the “Four Nations Cup”, a new club professional event competed between the leading club professionals from Australia, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand. The 2023 event is scheduled to be held in Australia, with New Zealand pencilled in to host the event in 2025.

The PGA Board will soon be finalising team selection criteria, but in advance of that we are delighted to confirm that the winner of the 2022 NZ Club Professional Championship will be guaranteed one of those playing spots for the 2023 New Zealand team.

If you are keen to represent your country in this new and exciting event, you have a real opportunity to win your place onto the 2023 team, by winning the Club Professional section of the Kaikoura event; so don’t delay - get those entries in now!

Note also that in addition to the Hunting & Fishing Kaikoura Pro-Am there are also other events which you can enter and support, which represent a significant South Island swing.

  • Tuesday 4 Oct – The Long Blacks Nelson Pro-Am - $11,000
  • Thursday 6 Oct – Whitehaven Wines Marlborough Pro-AM - $11,000
  • Saturday 8 & 9 Sunday Oct – Hunting & Fishing Kaikoura Pro-Am - $22,000
  • Tuesday 11 Oct – Spark Clearwater Pro-Am - $20,000

Kind Regards
