The Clubroom Tauranga is based at the Tauranga Golf Club 15 minutes from the CBD.

The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate golfer who is a qualified NZPGA Professional, or who is a year 2 or year 3 NZPGA Trainee undertaking in their Professional Apprenticeship. Launch or grow your golf coaching career with the support of a reputable golf retail business with this fantastic role. The Clubroom’s coaching facilities boasts the latest in launch monitor technology along with access to an extensive network of customers in the golfing community, not to mention being based at the popular championship-tested Tauranga Golf Club.

This key position will be responsible for assisting with junior, individual and group coaching while maintaining exceptional retail shop service to members.

We are looking for someone who is available to work in our premium golf retail shop for a minimum of 20 hours per week, with 10+ hours of coaching on offer for the suitable candidate.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Deliver a professional and exceptional member service experience
  • Grow junior golf through delivery of a junior programme
  • Grow individual coaching base
  • Continue to develop group based sessions
  • Assist with tee bookings
  • Timesheet management and managing bookings for Professionals services i.e., coaching and club fitting
  • Retail store duties and customer service
  • Stock management: Support the receipt, processing, storing, and displaying of stock
  • Merchandising
  • General housekeeping in-store to ensure the shop remains clean and tidy

Skills & Experience: 

  • NZPGA Professional (either fully qualified, or a year 2 or year 3 trainee)
  • A dedicated team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using computers and associated software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and members
  • Experience with Dot Golf booking and Lightspeed point of sale systems (preferred but not essential)
