It is with great delight that this new event for professionals gets underway today through Sunday for the coveted New Zealand Strokeplay title at the magnificent Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club.

All the players you would expect to see competing are there with former NZ Open winner Mike Hendry making a start after his recent trip to Australia.

Joining Hendry in the field on the Kapiti Coast is the talk of the town and recent winner on the Charles Tour at the NZ Super 6’s Kerry Mountcastle.

Kerry will be making his professional debut at a venue where he previously won the New Zealand Strokeplay as an amateur back in 2018. Also in the field is Harry Bateman, Dongwoo Kang, Josh Geary, Luke Toomey, Keiran Muir, Harry Na, Tae Koh, Momoka Kobori, Gareth Paddison
and all of the other top professionals and elite amateurs alike.

This is an event and venue that many of our professionals have competed on at the amateur level in National Championships and for many it will bring some great memories.

This in effect is a national title that is up for grabs and one that our players will be looking to etch their name onto some silverware on such an iconic venue.
