This week brings the first Charles Tour event for 2021 in the Brian Green Property Group NZ Super 6s.

Kicking off the tournament will be the Robertson’s Prestige Pro Am on Wednesday. A great opportunity for professionals to set themselves up for the Super 6s in the days to follow. With the Manawatu Golf Course set and ready for the Charles Tour the course for the Wednesday Pro Am will be majestic for the 40 plus corporate teams to join leading professionals and amateurs for a great run at it.

The Robertson’s Prestige Pro-Am fields both morning and afternoon Pro Ams and acts as a tremendous pre-curser to Thursday through Sunday’s action.

A look to that sees ones to watch after some recent strong Pro Am results and eyes will certainly move to the professionals with the likes of in form Luke Toomey, Harry Bateman, Tae Koh, Mason Lee and rising female professional Momoka Kibori all looking to convert recent form into the Charles Tour tournament.

A keen eye will also be on the Q-School winners in Jerry Ren, Johnny Tynan and Trent Munn who like Kibori all line up in their first Charles Tour event as professionals. Trent Munn will find it particularly special teeing off at his home club of Manawatu.

The Competition will take place across three rounds of stroke play qualifying where a field of 90 competitors will be reduced to the top-24 players, who will then compete in a six-hole, medal (stroke) match play format to determine a champion on the fourth and final day.

The Brian Green Property Group NZ Super6 Manawatu sees the introduction of medal (stroke) match play, meaning all matches will go the distance over six holes where a winner will be determined, or the match will continue to the deciding knockout hole.

In addition to the unique super 6 format this event will also be a mixed gender event with male and female professional and amateur golfers competing for the same trophy and for the professionals, the same prize purse.
