Daniel Pearce held on to fight off the challengers and win the Augusta Funds Management presented by Pipetech Ngamotu Classic by a single stroke. Pearce started the day tied for the lead with Jared Pender at ten under par and the lead changed throughout the day. With three holes to go  pearce, Pender, Mark Brown, Harry Bateman and Troy Ropiha all had a chance to win which made for a very exciting finish. A birdie at the 17th hole to match Jared Pender gave Pearce a one stroke buffer playing the final hole and when Pender's birdie attempt from five feet at the eighteenth slid by it left Daniel with a tap in for victory. Jared Pender and Mark Brown tied for second place  and Bateman and Ropiha at nine under and a tie for fourth.
