Harry Bateman has a commanding six stroke lead heading into the final round of the John Jones Steel Harewood Open tomorrow. Bateman started well with birdies at the first, second and fourth holes with pars at the rest except for the 7th hole. Other main contenders struggled in the difficult conditions and Bateman’s closest rival is David Smail on 71, 69, 70 totalling 6 under par with Gareth Paddison 70, 69 and 73 a further two shots behind on -4. Mark Brown, Victor Janin, James Anstiss, Hayden Beard and Brad Shilton are all at -3.
