PGA TOUR
WGC BRIDGESTONE INTERNATIONAL
The world’s top players head to the famous Firestone Country club this week. Firestone has a reputation for requiring accuracy from the tee and the length of many holes means players will have to use their driver. Tiger Woods has the impressive record of winning 8 times in the fifteen events he played here. There will also be plenty of interest in how Rory McIlroy plays this week. Rory won the event in 2014 and after parting with his long term caddie and friend JP Fitzgerald he will have another good friend and best man at his wedding, Harry Diamond on the bag. Rory will be doing his own yardages for the next few weeks as Diamond will also be on the bag for the USPGA Championship.
BARRACUDA CHAMPIONSHIP
Tim Wilkinson is the sole Kiwi in the field this week at the Barracuda Championship. This week the PGA Tour will be playing at the Montréux Golf & Country Club in the Tahoe – Reno area.
