ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT SCOTTISH OPEN

Rafa Cabrera Bello won the first hole in a sudden death playoff to record his first victory in five years. Rafa scored an eight under par 64 in his final round to finish at 13 under and then birdied the playoff hole to defeat Callum Shinkwin.

RYANFOX played superbly again this week to record a 4th place tie with three time major champion Padraig Harrington, Anthony Wall and American star Matt Kuchar. Fox could have been even better as he missed several short putts and lost two balls. At the par three sixth hole Ryan holed out his provisional ball for an unlikely par and also managed a bogey 5 at the 17th after losing his drive from the tee. Ryan will head to the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale with his confidence high after his outstanding form in the past three weeks. After finishing 6th, T4th, T4th over the last three weeks Ryan has amassed NZD$1M and charged up to 14th position in the Race to Dubai rankings. Fox will be joined by Michael Hendry at the Open and they will be playing a practice round together on Tuesday

GREG TURNER showed his class with a third place finish this week. Greg is a part time player these days and is in Europe to play six events including the senior Open Championship. Greg finished in third place, two strokes behind Phillip Price from Wales who was -14 and Thaworn Wiritchant -13 to collect €24,123.

USPGA TOUR

JOHN DEERE CLASSIC

Bryson De Chambeau birdied his final hole to win his first PGA Tour event. De Chambeau one by a single stroke from Patrick Rodgers who narrowly missed a pitch in attempt from over the green in a valiant bid to tie. Danny Lee withdrew after a first round 73 and Steve Alker and Tim Wilkinson both missed the cut.

UTAH CHAMPIONSHIP
Ben Campbell made the field this week after a blistering 63 in Monday qualifying. In a very low scoring tournament Campbells total of eight under par placed him in a tie for 72nd. The eventual winner was Brice Garnett on 21 under par

WOMENS US OPEN

Twenty three year old rookie Sung Hyun Park was the winner at -11 and finished two strokes ahead of 17 year old amateur Hye Jin Choi. Park is looking likely to be rookie of the year and also in contention for player of the year. Lyda Ko had another indifferent week and finished T33 rd at +2
