Ryan Fox had a stromg performance this week in the French Open

EUROPEAN TOUR

Ryan Fox had a great tournament and finished with a final round four under par 67 to finish in sixth place in the Open de France. Tommy Fleetwood won the event with 12 under par and finished a stroke ahead of Peter Uihlein.

Fox won NZ$335,000 for his efforts and moves up to 49th place in the Race to Dubai. Ryan just missed out on qualifying for a start in the Open Championship. He was only one stroke away from making it but still has an opportunity to earn a place through the Irish and Scottish Opens over the next two weeks. Ryan will have to finish in the top 10 and be one of the top three not already exempt players.

USPGA TOUR

Kyle Stanley defeated Charles Howell the third in a sudden death playoff to win the Quicken Loans Championship. Both players finished on seven under par around the brutal TPC Potomac at Avenel.

Danny Lee pocketed another NZ$108,000 for a one under total and a tie for 22nd place. This moves Danny up to 48th place in the Fedex Cup standings. Tim Wilkinson tied for 72nd place.

LPGA TOUR

Lydia Ko struggled with her game over the weekend and finished T59th in the KPMG Womens PGA Championship. The eventual winner was American Danielle Kang who birdied the 18th hole to win by a single stroke from Canadian Brooke Henderson on 13 under par.

CHINA TOUR

Rak Hyun Cho from Korea won the White Mountain Wanda Open by three strokes from Chinas’ Daxing Jin and Englands’ Michael Skelton.

Mathew Perry was the best of the Kiwis with a T5, Josh Geary T7, Dan Pearce T32 and Fraser Wilkin T54th

SAMOAN OPEN

The Samoan Open was won by Australian Peter Wilson with an 11 under par total. Tied for third place was NZ professional Pieter Zwart -9 , Hayden Beard -4 T7 and Dean Sipson T17th

SYMETRA TOUR

Yu Liu was this week’s winner with a -16 score and NZ Liv Cheng scored 67,76,72 to be T54th
